We found a coffee table! And, little did we know, we needed a coffee table that was the size of Rhode Island. We’ve been searching for awhile (and I even bought a cute little Threshold coffee table, new from Goodwill!), but nothing seemed right until we saw this one.
It’s a little (or a lot) more contemporary than things we’re usually drawn to, but we actually like it and the size is PERFECT. Oh, how big is it? 42″ by 56″…which is LARGER than our apartment dining table was. Good heavens. But the best part was that this table was clearance priced at 50% off for just $229. (Sidenote–is $460 a ridiculous price in the first place? or is that just me?)
Our fireplace is off-center in the room (DRIVES ME NUTS), but we were able to even things out somehow. Magic was involved.
Here’s a little-seen angle. Picture me crouched awkwardly in the corner to get this shot at the very moment Ken gets home from work and walks in. It was pretty hilarious.
We’re feeling quite settled in (finally!). Good thing, too, because we’re anticipating using this room a bunch more after we close off our sunroom for winter. Many games will be played on this giant thing…and can’t you just see some awesome matchbox car driving occurring on it?
